This is Bookworm, one of characters in my self-satire story "Astral Butterflies' Chronicles" I tried to write on lucid dreaming forum. This weird (or maybe one of the least weird in that world) guy was a librarian in main character's astral enclave and this one trying to keep things in order.
I described him as humanoid, insect-like gentleman smaller than human, sometimes behaving like grumpy old man annoyed by noisy youth.

@cstross@wandering.shop Damn, last year I wrote short s-f/cyberpunk story for writing contest. It was mostly inspired by Zuckerberg's mention of making chatbots from dead relatives' online data, but in my vision these degraded virtual ghosts, infecting all electronic devices, tried to influence kids in similar way...
IT WASN'T PLANNED AS DARK PROPHECY!
Of course for realism in my story corporation responsible for this didn't pay for these sins...
