1. We just had a big ol' non-threatening thunderstorm, which was lovely. I still unplugged my desktop, just in case. 😅

2. The county I live in is breaking ground on a brand new animal shelter tomorrow, which is desperately needed.

3. Work on the garden clean up progresses. Got the last Butterfly Bush pruned today, and lots of weeds eradicated. Still amazed at how borked things can get from half a year of no upkeep.

I may've jinxed things a couple months ago when I said bluebirds always nest in the bluebird house in my backyard. I've seen the male bluebird trying to keep a nuthatch out of the new bluebird house (I had to replace the old one) a couple times, but I haven't seen the female. Today the nuthatch was going in and out of the house with no challenge.

Maybe it's because there's a predator baffle on the new bluebird house and the female decided that was a nope.

I want to be excited for Firefly. I'm just not sure yet. There's a lot of good memories there for me with friends and family. My dad liked Firefly, and we had so little in common that it felt like a big deal and we made it a tradition to watch every Thanksgiving.

But Wheeeeedon. Fuggin' Whedon. And Baldwin.

I think I'll always love that show and Buffy. They can't take that from me, but it's definitely different now.

Fun fact I learned today: if you're at the eye doctor and they put dye in your eyes, and then you have a coughing fit at checkout because you inhaled incorrectly(?!), your nose will run the same color of the dye! Ask me how I know. 😅 So embarrassing.

Also, shout out to the protesters I passed at Kennesaw Mountain park. Wish I could've joined them, but I did a bunch of car horn beeps.
