Jeg blev forleden irettesat af en meget kyndig biolog i en diskussion om naturnationalparker, med beskeden "Geograf, bliv ved din læst".
Hvad den kloge biolog måske overså er, slår det mig nu, at hvis man havde involveret flere geografer i planlægning og implementering af NNP'erne, og ikke kun gået efter "så vildt som muligt", så havde man måske undgået alle de konflikter med lokalbefolkningen, som man nu oplever.

@infonauten@helvede.net Ja, og nu er jeg også så heldig at mit arbejde ikke er fysisk hårdt, så jeg kan forhåbentlig godt blive ved til jeg når den officielle pensionsalder. Det mest belastende er rettearbejde og relationen til mange elever i de forskellige klasser. Derfor vil det være dejligt selv at kunne styre hvor mange jeg skal have i løbet af et skoleår. Ledelsen vil nok foretrække at få besked i god tid. Men det gælder jo for alle jobs hvor man skal kunne regne med at folk møder op ifølge skemaer og vagtplaner!

Men.. efter at have set kommentarer fra folk der ved noget om emnet, så viser det sig at netop adgang til sundhedsvæsenet er noget som optager folk i Grønland. Det er også bare svært med en så lille befolkning og så store afstande. Noget af udfordringen skyldes rekruttering og fastholdelse, andet økonomi, andet igen politiske prioriteringer. Så måske der faktisk er nogen af Trumps rådgivere, som er smarte nok til at vide, hvilke knapper, der skal trykkes på - selv om ideen med et hospitalsskib umiddelbart virker fjollet og malplaceret(?)

Jeg sidder og retter opgaver om Jordens indre og jordskælv (ja, for en gymnasielærer betyder "vinterferie" blot "undervisningsfri"), og funderer over om der mon er nogen af eleverne der prøver at forestille sig hvordan der ser ud ved overgangen fra den ydre, flydende til den indre, faste kerne, der hvor materialet er jern og nikkel, ved en temperatur på omkring 4000 grader C og et tryk omkring 3 mio. atmosfærer? Næppe? Men det var vel sådan noget der en gang fik mig og mine kollegaer til at studere?

En af årets koldeste dage, og sol og vind leverer mere elektricitet end vi bruger her i Danmark. Der fyres helt sikkert en masse gas og biomasse af for at vi kan holde varmen, men det viser da potentialet, selv om der er lang vej igen med PowerToX, batterilagring og elektrificering af transport og andre områder.
