The Mayor and council leaders have unveiled a new #Transport Vision for the West of #England, aiming to create a reliable, integrated network to support the region’s growing #economy. The plan prioritises better buses, more #trains, a new mass #transit system, improved walking and cycling routes, and upgraded streets and travel hubs. The West is the largest city-region without mass transit, and leaders aim to begin building within four to five years. Backed by £752 million in funding, more than 250 new low-emission buses, new rail stations and expanded active #travel schemes are under way.
