Earlier this year, Technische Universität Berlin analysed the SPF configuration of 12 million domains. While SPF adoption is rising (56.5% of domains), 2.9% have errors and many configurations are far too permissive - over a third of domains allow 100,000+ IPs to send mail, enabling spoofing risks.
