#Anthropic 's #Claude Code dropped npm support for a native installer — and FreeBSD didn't make the list.

#FreeBSD users are thoughtful and may pave a better way for AI use. It's saved me a lot of toil.

But If AI tools silently skip our platform, future contributors may draw the conclusion that it's not a platform that matters. Or that it's like Minix/Plan9: for research and full of Better Ways, but niche. And yes, the facts will not align with this, but it simply won't matter.

Gosh after the mass layoffs from ai unemployment (or the market’s acceptance thereof) and thanks to manosphere channels selling pro patria, I think I know what to do with a few thousand unemployed men between 18-25. Can’t have them on American shores riling up sentiment against the oligarchs. Maybe offshore them in the Latifundia of Greenland? Or reduce their numbers…somehow. Can’t have bad approval ratings if you keep your geriatrics and reduce the others out of the pool. What a rook.
