TiL that with acrylics you can paint in layers. And here I was, 20 years wondering how to put on paint thick enough to cover the line art, but still being able to see the lines. And today I thought "Maybe I should try out layers! 🤓" just to find out this is what pro-artists do all the time.
Plus I also still don't know how to find my style and so now additionally to feeling dumb, I also feel discouraged. *fishes out colouring book and pencils*

Vielen Dank! Ich habe gerade die Galerie App nochmal installiert und mir die Einstellungen genau angeschaut und tatsächlich waren dort noch alle Ordner mit Video Dateien als versteckt eingestellt, obwohl ich die App bereits 2 Mal deinstalliert und Einstellungen zurückgesetzt hatte. 🙃 Hab sie gelöscht und jetzt ist alles wie vorher. nomedia-Dateien hatte ich keine gesehen. Finde es generell komisch, dass eine Galerie-App auf meinen Mediaplayer Einfluss nimmt.

Ich nehme an, dass es an einer neuen Gallerie-Apk liegt, die ich zur selben Zeit, als das Problem auftrat, installiert hatte. Dort hatte ich "Videos ausblenden/ignorieren" ausgewählt. Diese App ist aber wieder deinstalliert doch das Problem tritt weiterhin auf.
Hat da jemand eine Idee, was ich tun kann? Cache leeren, Daten löschen, Neuinstallation waren erfolglos. Auch die Gallerie-App nochmals installieren und Cache und Daten löschen vor erneuter Deinstallation haben nichts gebracht. 🥲

Ich nutze auf meinem Tablet (Android 9) den vlc Mediaplayer. Heute Vormittag war alles wie immer, doch plötzlich sagt VLC es wären keine Mediendateien vorhanden. Gehe ich auf die Einstellungen werden interner Speicher und SD-Karte als ausgewählt angezeigt. Wähle ich sie erneut aus, wird kurz geladen, ohne Ergebnis. Über "Dateien" kann ich weiterhin Ordner und Videos anwählen und abspielen. Doch unter Video/ Audio wird weiterhin dieses Bild angezeigt.

I just read the synopsis of "I have no mouth, and I must scream" and holy, why? No wonder nobody has any idea how to start peaceful revolutions and waits for everything becoming too horrible to accept. We have to approach pop culture more in the way of training dogs = don't punish but reward. Stop telling stories of bleak futures that we can't avoid because we are mere peasants. Give us more ideas of how good it could be. Let us be more creative through positive examples. More Utopia, please!

This is just the second time I've embroidered something, and I only did cross stitch once, so don't expect me to do something super fancy, haha.
I guess my main problem is my lack of patience. I see something that I like (a technique, colour palette, etc.), have an idea, but don't want to put my all into perfecting it. So I then just try to make it work somehow. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. This time it did.

I initially did them in cross stitch, but it just didn't look nice. Maybe because I'm unexperienced, maybe because the wrong ct, I don't know. But I once saw a picture of an embroidery on what I think was linen. Flowers of different colours surrounding the word LOVE. And so I tried that style. And I'm glad it turned out that nicely. 😅

It is not completely done, but I wanted to show it off. I'm also not really satisfied with the shadows, because the letters obscure them quite much. And so it more looks like blots of dark blue. But I'm learning as I go.

Ich hatte es vor meiner Ausbildung genutzt für so ganz simple Bildbearbeitung. Wie das jetzt nach 10+ Jahren Photoshop funktionieren würde, weiß ich nicht (obwohl ich jetzt auch immer noch nicht wirklich gut in PS bin 😬 ).
Adobe hat einfach den Vorteil schon seit Jahrzehnten mit den Bedürfnissen und Möglichkeiten mitgewachsen zu sein und lange (und ja auch immer noch) das Monopol in dem Bereich und somit die Finanzierung zu haben. Da sehen open source Programme dann alt aus.

It certainly feels that way from the outside. I have used G.I.M.P. and inkscape ages ago before I hade the Adobe CS and the differences in available functions are not that huge, if you don't work with them on a pro level. But text formatting seems to be something not many people are into.😕

Is there a good alternative for Adobe's InDesign that works on Linux? Since my PC is still broken (and probably won't be fixed, even though the warranty is still going til october), I am thinking about getting rid of Windows.
