@wtrmt@mastodon.social @grammargirl@zirk.us it always struck me that LLM writing tends to read the way the Common Core ELA forced teachers to teach kids to write. I hated it. It's formulaic and passionless. But the only way to get them to pass was to teach them generic sentence starters, structural bridging words and how to find and list the evidence in the text. But it makes sense that this cohort of college kids would write like that and so be accused of using AI.
