In burnout, it often feels like there’s always just too much to do and you’re never going to get caught up. #AutisticBurnout #Burnout #ActuallyAutistic #AuDHD

I'd like to say that few things are more dispiriting than having to admit that today's just not gonna happen. But I guess there are a lot of things that would be even more dispiriting. But anyways, today's not gonna happen for me, it's canceled, whatever I wanted to do today, I'm not gonna be able to do. I'm just gonna flip my electric blanket on and go back to bed. #AutisticBurnout #ActuallyAutistic

Burnout and overwhelm make sensory issues more intense, and they also build up over time, so when you were younger sensory issues may not have been quite as big of a deal. #ActuallyAutistic #Sensory #AutisticBurnout #AuDHD #Burnout

The first morning in five days without a high fever, and instead of relief that I'm getting better, I'm despondent, feeling that now there will be demands again, now I have to perform again, now I need to somehow survive again... And I'm on permanent disability, it's not like I need to go back to work! The damage from a lifetime of autistic burnouts runs deep. #ActuallyAutistic #AutisticBurnout
