[$449/600 complete] For those who didn’t know, I am a 30-year old gamer and college student. I was diagnosed with autism since early age. I am very dependent on my pension and my aunt on my budget, however most of it went for food. I've been deep diving into this YouTube channel. It has great non-binary and neurodivergent (especially autistic) content. The one thing that keeps catching me off guard is that they are framing neurodivergence as a disability. Is that a cultural thing that I missed (they are in the UK)? Or is it the perception of this YouTuber? I've always framed it as a different type of brain and way of looking at the world. Hey all! Friendly neighborhood mod Glitch here. Trans, nonbinary, neurodivergent, and struggling with ME/CFS and degenerative disc disease which has left me disabled and unable to work. I am going through the process of getting state benefits, which will help me get on SSI/SSDI, but until then I need help.

I need help with a bunch of things, primarily paying my storage unit since I haven’t been able to get help with it. Goal’s been adjusted due to the late fees added ($50) so I need $250 for that, and the rest of the funds raised will go for stuff not covered by my EBT like cat food, cat litter, personal care stuff and other items. At least 160,000 people to be removed from NDIS as Labor unveils “unavoidable and urgent” cuts

“At least 160,000 people are expected to be removed from the National Disability Insurance Scheme by 2030, as the Albanese government looks to claw back savings by changing who can access the scheme.

The health minister, Mark Butler, also announced on Wednesday the $50bn scheme’s growth rate will be brought down to just 2% every year until 2030 in an effort to curb annual plan inflation and produce billions in savings.

The government will dramatically increase the categories of service providers required to register with the federal government, adding more higher risk activities, including personal care, daily living supports, and supports provided in closed settings.”

  • So while the responsibilities of the care providers are increased, their pay goes down.

“There are about 760,000 people on the scheme at the moment, meaning at least 160,000 will no longer be able to access the NDIS within four years.

“These are hard decisions – but they’re unavoidable and urgent,” Butler said.”
