Yksi parhaista viime vuonna löytämistäni mangasarjoista on Kojima Aon "Hon nara uru hodo" (本なら売るほど). En oikein osaa pukea sanoiksi miksi, mutta sarjan pokkarit tuntuvat enemmän novellikokoelmilta kuin mangalta. Monissa sarjan tarinoista tapahtumapaikkana on tietty antikvariaatti, kun taas joissain niistä paikka vain mainitaan ohimennen. Jollain tavalla se on kuitenkin aina läsnä. Päähenkilöt vaihtelevat, mutta kaikkien tarinoiden keskiössä ovat kirjat ja eri ihmisten suhde niihin. Lukiessa tulee vaikutelma, että mangaka itse on innostunut niin kirjoista kuin antikvariaateistakin. Kivasti vastaan tulee myös lukuvinkkejä, sillä monet tarinassa esiintyvät teokset ovat oikeasti olemassa. Itseen suurimman vaikutuksen on toistaiseksi tehnyt ensimmäisen pokkarin ensimmäinen tarina, jossa päähenkilö (antikvariaatin pitäjä) on kutsuttu hiljattain edesmenneen yksin eläneen miehen taloon läpikäymään jäämistöä. Käytännössä siis ostamaan kirjoja antikvariaatin valikoimiin. Läpikäytävä talo osoittautuu kutakuinkin kirjoilla vuoratuksi. Teoksia on valtavasti. Kokoelma on selvästi ollut omistajalleen rakas, ja sitä penkoessa vastaan tulee toinen toistaan erikoisempia aarteita. Talon asukas vaikuttaisi kokoelmansa perusteella olleen mielenkiintoinen henkilö, mutta enää häntä ei pysty tapaamaan. Harmillisesti valtaosa kokoelmasta on ilmeisesti päätymässä roskalavalle seuraavana päivänä. Päähenkilö ei pidä ajatuksesta lainkaan, mutta hän pystyy määräajan puitteissa pelastamaan talteen vain osan teoksista... (Mikään hyvän mielen tarina tämä ei ollut. Päällimmäisenä siitä jäi mieleen menetyksen tunne. Se, että joku elämänsä ajan kartutti kirjakokoelmaa ja huolella vaali sitä - ja nyt hänen kuoltuaan se ollaan heittämässä roskiin, jotta asunto saadaan myytyä.) #manga
