I stumbled across maps from 1577 online, incl Cheshire, where I'm from. I went down an Elizabethan rabbit hole & bought a book about her advisor Cecil. Then, on Saturday, I went into a local charity shop, and there was map on the wall (in Bern!) And, reading more, I learned it was owned by Cecil! Kismet. #history #map

High-frequency rail in South #London operated under the short-lived #Overground Network brand. Launched in 2003 by the Strategic #Rail Authority and #Transport for London, this #map from 2005 shows the initiative to boost National Rail usage before it was abandoned. 🚉
