I just finished watching Raise the Titanic. My father kept saying it's going to be a trash film but with a budget of 36million in 1980 you can't fumble that bad. Unfortunately I had to watch it in german cause youtube usually only has the official language of the country available. Anyways you could tell where all the budget went with the military ships, the models and the special effects. The story was pretty much your average cold war thriller, you had the Americans doing shady stuff, the Soviets plotting evil shit and a big fat plottwist. While watching it I couldn't stop thinking about the abyss, probably cause both are thrillers where the plot point is underwater and aren't also considered horror. Now seems like a good time to share the film “Persepolis.” If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it. The animated film is an autobiographical story about a young woman coming of age during Iran’s revolution in the 70s. Marjane Satrapi is an multi-disciplinary artist. Just came back from watching They Will Kill You. Absolutely loved this film. It's an action comedy horror film, and it had me laughing at so many points as well as wincing at many others. If you do go and see it, go into it knowing it's an occult film with some gross out moments. #movies #movie #moviereview #film
