I think I've cracked it!
Using #OpenStreetMap as a custom OIDC provider in #Auth0. Which means people can log in to OpenBenches with their #OSM credentials via OAuth.

This is our first post here.
Freemap Slovakia is the Slovak Local Chapter of OpenStreetMap and we develop the open-source outdoor map platform https://www.freemap.eu focused on Europe.
Freemap.eu provides detailed outdoor rendering, terrain shading, route planning, GPX tools, rich POIs and minutely OSM updates.

#WritersCoffeeClub Feb. 13: Do you use maps as reference materials as you write?
Constantly. I translate 19th century local legends, and most of these are tied to real world locations that can (or at least could) be visited. Researching and identifying these locations takes up a significant portion of the work I put into this project.
My main tools for this are #OpenStreetMap , Google Maps, and Arcanum Maps - the latter for its historical maps, as a lot of the place names used in these tales are no longer in use today.
I am also creating an interactive online map showcasing the locations I have been able to identify, and you can see it on the main page of my wiki:

Release 2026.02.09 is out!
Beyond fresh #OpenstreetMap data, you can now search for æøå, disable the display of speed limits on Android, and when navigating in Apple Car Play or Android Auto, 3D buildings are disabled to improve legibility of the map.

Dla mnie brak informacji oznacza że nie akceptowałem by dane uzyskane ode mnie były wykorzystywane do innych celów niż do map. Ale nie spędziłem za dużo czasu więc mógłbym coś przegapić.
Więc jakby ktoś miał jakieś informacje to z góry dzięki za info.
Na chwile obecną mam zaintalowane kilka aplikacji z openstreetmap + mapy.com + (jeszcze na wszelki wypadek) mapy google, ale ten ostatni ma zakaz używania danych w tle
Czy mapy.com są w czymkolwiek lepsze od innych - to kwestia sporna.

Z jednej strony aspekt społeczny jest git, z drugiej strony ten aspekt to rak zżerający większe platformy bo zostaje przez platformy i firmy agresywnie monetyzowane.
Mapy.com sprzedają za hajs widoczność na ich stronie w tym na mapach, więc można mieć tylko nadzieje że będzie to robione z głową.

Jak z Fediverse, niema możliwości oceniania treści, więc w efekcie nie ma (dużego?) powodu na kupowania lajków/ocen.
