I think everyone here today doesn't trust their ISP and government.
Use a #VPN or #TOR,Your ISP will only know the destination point, all traffic will be encrypted through a #tunnel
You said you installed a router. How did you configure the modem? In Full Bridge?
Also start changing your #DNS, don't use your ISP's default ones

Olen tässä kuluneen muutaman päivän aikana tutustunut verkkoihin, reitityksiin ja WireGuard-VPN:n toimintaan. Vaikka minulla on ollut ihan kelvollinen ymmärrys verkkojen yleisestä toiminnasta, aika monesti se on loppunut kesken jos on pitänyt alkaa viritellä vähänkään monimutkaisempia kokonaisuuksia.
Kirjoittelin itselleni läjäpäin muistiinpanoja omista harjoituksista, onnistumisista ja epäonnistumisista. Päätin raapustella niiden pohjalta blogiin yleisen höpinän asioista, joihin tuli pureuduttua. Aika kuivakkaa juttua, mutta verkoista on vaikea muunkaanlaista tekstiä raapustella 😄
Silti on sanottava, että verkot ja WireGuardin sisäinen toiminta on ainakin minusta tosi kiehtovaa! Nykyään sitä on verkkojen ja VPN:ien ympäröimänä, mutta harva lopulta ymmärtää miten ne toimivat. Villiä, että joku nekin on keksinyt ja kehittänyt!

The #UK #Government has announced new measures to strengthen online safety for children, with the Prime Minister and the Department for #Science, #Innovation and #Technology pledging faster action as technology evolves. Ministers will close a loophole to ensure all #AI chatbot providers comply with duties under the Online Safety Act on tackling illegal content, following concerns over material shared via #Grok. New powers, to be added to the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill, will allow swift action after a forthcoming consultation on children’s digital wellbeing, including potential minimum age limits for social media, curbs on features such as infinite scrolling and options to age restrict or limit children’s #VPN use. The consultation will also examine AI chatbot access, digital consent age and preserving data after a child’s death. Campaigners including the NSPCC and Molly Rose Foundation welcomed the move but called for further reform.

The authorities apparently got tired of asking and just went in themselves.
Canada-based Windscribe, a VPN provider, just said that one of its European servers has been allegedly seized by Dutch authorities without a warrant. According to the company’s post on X, law enforcement said that they will return it to the service provider after they “fully analyze it.” It’s unclear why law enforcement impounded just a single rack from Windscribe’s cabinet, but the VPN provider said that it only uses RAM disk servers, meaning anyone who would look through the installed SSDs would only find a stock Ubuntu install on it, so the servers shouldn’t hold any trackable data.
