How the Internet Works (Simple Explanation) 🌐 Every time you open a website, your device sends a request over the internet to a server that hosts that website. This request travels through a global network of cables, routers, and data centers. The server receives the request, processes it, and sends the website’s data back to your device in small units called data packets. Your browser then reassembles these packets and displays the website on your screen — usually within milliseconds. In simple terms: Device request → Network transfer → Server response → Webpage loads. 💻⚡

Incognito or private mode prevents your browser from saving local data, such as history, cookies, and form data, on your device, ensuring privacy from other users of that computer. However, it does not hide your activity from websites, internet service providers (ISPs), employers, or protect against malware and phishing. #INTERNET #security #PrivacyMatters #incognito #incognitomode #tech #technology

DNS leak protection is a security feature in VPNs that forces all web browsing queries (DNS requests) through an encrypted VPN tunnel, preventing them from being exposed to your Internet Service Provider (ISP). It prevents hackers or ISPs from seeing your browsing history and location, ensuring your traffic stays private and secure. https://windows101tricks.com/what-is-dns-leak-protection/ What is DNS leak protection? It’s a VPN feature that keeps your DNS requests inside the encrypted VPN tunnel and away from your ISP’s DNS servers. What is a DNS leak in VPN? It’s when your DNS queries escape the VPN tunnel and go to your ISP’s DNS servers, revealing the websites you visit. How DNS leak protection works: It routes all DNS traffic through VPN DNS servers, blocks DNS outside the tunnel, and may use firewall rules and a kill switch. How to test DNS leak in VPN: Connect to your VPN, visit a DNS leak test website, run a test, and check if the DNS servers match your VPN server location. Does VPN prevent DNS leaks? Only if the VPN is designed with proper DNS leak protection and configured correctly. @followers #VPN #DNS #security #Tech #privacy #DNSLeak

HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) and HTTPS (HTTP Secure) differ primarily in security; HTTPS uses SSL/TLS encryption to protect data integrity and privacy, while HTTP sends data in plain text. HTTPS ensures secure communication, prevents tampering, and is essential for SEO rankings and user trust, whereas HTTP is insecure and often flagged by browsers.

The Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model is a conceptual framework from the ISO that standardizes network communication into seven distinct layers, enabling diverse systems to communicate

Layer 7 - Application: Enables user-facing applications (browsers, email) to access network services.
Layer 6 - Presentation: Translates, encrypts, and compresses data for the application layer to use.
Layer 5 - Session: Manages sessions (connections) between applications, handling authentication and reconnection.
Layer 4 - Transport: Handles end-to-end communication, including flow control, segmentation, and error correction (TCP/UDP).
Layer 3 - Network: Determines the best physical path for data, managing logical addressing and routing (IP).
Layer 2 - Data Link: Responsible for node-to-node data transfer, error detection, and MAC addressing.
Layer 1 - Physical: Defines the physical specifications, such as cables, connectors, and voltage for transmitting raw bits.

Essential #VPN features for security and performance include AES-256 #encryption, a strict no-logs policy, and a kill switch to prevent data leaks. Also look for fast protocols like #WireGuard, wide server networks, split tunneling, and ad/malware blockers. https://www.windowscult.com/choosing-free-vpn/

Strong Security Protocols (AES-256 & WireGuard): Ensures top-level encryption for your data.

Strict No-Logs Policy: Guarantees your browsing history is not stored.

Kill Switch: Automatically cuts internet if the VPN drops, preventing data exposure.

IP & DNS Leak Protection: Prevents your actual location and browsing activity from leaking to your ISP.

Large Server Network: Provides better speed, performance, and ability to bypass geo-restrictions.

Split Tunneling: Allows you to choose which apps use the VPN and which use your local internet.

Multi-Platform Support & Simultaneous Connections: Ensures you can protect all your devices (phone, laptop, tablet) at once.

Ad & Malware Blocker: Blocks malicious ads, trackers, and websites for faster, safer browsing.

#Incognito Mode in Google Chrome, it is known as "Private Browsing" in Firefox, Edge, and Safari, is a privacy feature in most web browsers that prevents your device from saving your browsing history, cookies, site data, and form entries after you close the session.

What it does: Deletes browsing history, cookies, and site data after the session ends

What it doesn’t do: Hides your activity from websites, ISPs, or network administrators.

Best for: Temporary, local privacy on shared devices—not full online anonymity

For stronger privacy, consider using a VPN, Tor Browser, or privacy-focused tools like DuckDuckGo.
