I’m glad I gave myself some time between watching Heated Rivalry and finally watching #Bridgerton S4. I’ve really enjoyed this season, though I don’t appreciate feeling on the brink of tears at the end of each episode.

Also, holy FUCK Katie Leung is good at playing the evil Asian mum. I can see her becoming the next Michelle Yeoh.

I somehow managed to read 4 books in February. Considering I’ve read maybe 2 books from 2015-2025, this is crazy in a good way. I’m having trouble picking my next read though. In February, I read Sunrise on the Reaping, A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, The Marrow Thieves and The Grace Year. All of them are YA dystopian novels. I’m also reading Chop Suey Nation as my non-fiction lighter reading. I’ve got a few options for my next book. I’m hoping I can finish one before my next Libby hold is available.

My options are:

🐝 The Duke and I by Julia Quinn
⛪️ The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood
🦯 All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

Since I’ve read four dystopian novels back to back, I feel like it might be a good idea to switch it up a little, but at the same time, it’s been my vibe for a month so maybe I should stick with it?

The fact that they managed to get Connor stripped down to a pair of briefs and made it maybe the least sexy scene possible is an impressive feat for both the #SNL writers and for #ConnorStorrie’s acting. That was awkward but the awkward was funny because the audience was still thirsty. Also, I now need to know what his inner thigh tattoo says. 👀👀

It’s #Brier2026 time and it’s nice to see curling back to being relatively drama free. The QC team just had the craziest moment though where they shattered a fibreglass broom handle and the sweeper went right down. The most impressive thing though? They swept the guy who fell out of the way so he didn’t touch the rock. There was a moment where I thought we’d get a rock touching fight but that fizzled quickly. #curling #curlingCanada

Torpedo Shrimp were on sale at Giant Tiger last week so I decided to make my first #Bento! I bought these cute bento boxes almost 10 years ago but before my bariatric surgery, this was never enough food. Today I made Ebi Fry Bento, with a few torpedo shrimp, a roll of tamagoyaki, some salty edamame, and then rice in the other container. I had the leftovers for breakfast to make sure it all tasted okay and I’m really pleased. The tamagoyaki was shockingly good for the first time making it. I wish I had the lighter soy sauce, so it looks darker than I’d like, but that’s a lesson for next time.

Does anyone know if a petition on #OurCommons can be used to ask for #NHL players to be traded? Because I don’t think #BradyTkachuk should think it’s okay to shout “Close the northern border” to the president and still be allowed to be the captain of the #OttawaSenators. You don’t get to be the captain of the capital’s team and hate this country.

Same with #AustinMatthews. He might be an incredible goal scorer but he doesn’t put that effort in when it matters so he can get out. Fuck that guy. The #TorontoMapleLeafs aren’t going to suddenly win the cup because he’s here so we can get rid of him and see almost no difference.

YouTube’s algorithm, being all knowing and addictive, fed me a video that I haven’t seen in a while but I have watched a million times before.

I’m sure most women can think back and remember a famous woman that they admired and wanted to be when they were kids/tweens. The video that I was fed reminded me that I didn’t know the name of the woman I idolized. I just knew her as “The lady in Riverdance” aka Jean Butler.

It’s crazy how watching this video brings me back to 1994-1998 era of Rebecca. I would say those four years, from the age of 8-12, have more moments that I still consider core parts of my personality development. The person I was then is the person I am now, more so than any other era in my childhood.

I almost always feel better after watching those two. But if I need a bit more, some other routines that I’ll sometimes watch include:

I just realized that all of my favourite skating routines are all from movies or stage shows. And in almost every case, they’re routines where they should have ranked MUCH higher but the scoring system was fucked up.
