The Onion is also selling merchandise about the merger. All with a revamped rainbow logo for InfoWars, with the letter O replaced by an Onion.
Jones claims he intends to tie up The Onion in litigation. And has encouraged his supporters to buy what he has claimed for about the 400th time since the Sandy Hook lawsuits, is potentially the last batch of products that the InfoWars store will receive.
Hopefully the takeover works well for The Onion. As I'm hoping they get The Daily Wire next.

The Onion's parent company, Global Tetrahedron, has announced they've reached a new deal that should satisfy the courts. Where they will lease the InfoWars name and website for six months at a cost of $81,000 per month, with an option to renew for a further six.
The Onion's CEO Ben Collins, has also announced that Tim Heidecker has been brought in to be the new creative director at InfoWars.
The plan is still to turn InfoWars into a joke, and host anti-gun adverts.

However the sale was blocked by Judge Lopez, who questioned the validity of the bankruptcy auction. He determined that InfoWars parent company Free Speech Systems was not in bankruptcy, and that only applied to Alex Jones himself.
Jones' assets, including his houses, cars, watches and collection of guns are being sold off through a bankruptcy trustee to pay part of what he owes the Sandy Hook families who he traumatised and his audience harassed by claiming their children weren't dead.

After 17 months of legal battles, it looks like satirical news outlet The Onion is finally getting their hands on InfoWars.
The Onion had put in a successful bid for InfoWars and their assets through a bankruptcy auction, after the trustee determined their bid which involved some of the Sandy Hook families waiving part of the money owed to them from the $1.5 billion lawsuits against Alex Jones, was deemed to be the best option. As it meant other creditors were more likely to be repaid.

The big question though, is how often can Starmer seemingly dodge bullets on his appointment of Mandelson?
At what point does the buck stop with him, when just about everyone not named Morgan McSweeney was telling him appointing Mandelson was a terrible idea?

Starmer claims he only found out on Tuesday about the failure in the vetting process. In which case, he may be accused of misleading Parliament.
As under the ministerial code, he was obligated to correct the record in Parliament at the earliest opportunity.
That would have been last week at Prime Minister's Questions. However no correction was made.
He's due to face MPs today on the matter. So he may be waiting to get the full picture from civil servants first before making his correction.

The man Gilmour refused to name, was none other than Jeffrey Epstein.
But the fact that this was known to an opposition MP seven months ago, and just weeks after Mandelson was sacked as more of his emails between himself and Epstein were revealed, yet not known to the government is staggering.
Especially when Keir Starmer repeatedly told MPs that "full due process" was followed prior to Mandelson's appointment.
So this has either been a series of fuck-ups, or the PM has lied to the nation.

The Electoral Commission were even questioned about the validity of the name by the Greens.
They said it was fine, and not confusing at all.
In that spirit, I'm considering forming the Fair Labour Party. Or failing that, the Democratic Liberals, or the Union of Conservatives.

Members of the Covid-19 bereaved families for justice, have written to Nigel Farage asking him to sack his candidate for Croydon, David Booth.
Booth is a hardcore conspiracy theorist, who claimed that the pandemic was a staged event, and that vaccines were part of a plot to bring in population control.

As for trans people, Richard Lucas doesn't think you should exist. Because what do scientists and psychologists really know anyway?
So no treatment either through the NHS or private.
No protections under Equalities legislation.
No educational schemes to make sure kids know that their trans classmates are valid, and have the right to be treated with respect.

Perhaps next time a journalist actually bothers to interview this skidmark on the underpants of life, hey could ask what other abuse laws he thinks should be rolled back next?
How about those pesky laws against marital rape that were brought in during the 1990s?

Specifically the SFP/Richard Lucas wants to roll back the laws against domestic abuse.
Starting with the ones against psychological abuse of a spouse.
Lucas doesn't think psychological abuse is a thing. That people aren't verbally berated to the point of despair, live with the implied threat of assault, being constantly gaslit to the point of questioning their own sanity, etc.

Richard Lucas is on record stating that he would not allow abortions in cases of incest or rape. Meaning a woman has to unfortunately carry to term and be reminded constantly of an overwhelmingly traumatic event for the rest of their lives.
He also doesn't believe abortion should be allowed in cases where the foetus would not survive, and carrying it to term risks severe harm or death to the pregnant person. Such as ectopic pregnancy.

Polling Day is like Christmas to Richard Lucas and the Scottish Family Party.
I'm not saying they're on some kind of register, or banned from being around their kids without a social worker present.
It's just a coincidence that the day they try and usually fail to put an X on a ballot paper, also happens to be the only time they're allowed anywhere near the local primary school on a weekday.

Lucas seems to think he should be allowed to dictate to women how they should live and what they do with their bodies, and have total control over how children are raised. And it's about as unpleasant as it sounds.
He also really wants gay people's rights stripped away, and trans people legislated out of existence.

Now for some #Scotpol posting.
One of the joys of living in a flat with a security door. It keeps volunteers from the Scottish Family Party from posting their junk through my letterbox.
But it's worth the annual reminder of who this group of fringe nutters is, and the abhorrent things they stand for.
The Scottish Family Party isn't a real party. There's no structure for electing leadership, or organised membership.
It's the pet project of a man named Richard Lucas.

@MiriShuli I presume the investigation will uncover that in due course. As you mentioned, CPAC was held in Hungary. That year it was reported to be funded in whole by Orban.
If it's anything like his connections to people and organisations in the UK, as was outlined by Byline Times, then I suspect it's more than funding to a few MAGA podcasters.

Fife was especially egregious. Despite the SNP winning 34 of the 75 seats, the council is run by a minority Labour administration of 18 councillors. After they got the nod from both the Lib Dems and the Tories.
Sarwar can deny he asked Reform to work with him all he wants. His track record of working with Tories suggests it's likely he did it.
And his unfamiliarity with the truth in general means his denials have less credibility than a former Tory peer leading a band of racist fuckwits.

Sarwar is also notorious for swearing that there would be no electoral alliances with the Tories at the local level, and that Labour would not support the Tories in any council.
He reinstated the Aberdeen Labour councillors who had done just that.

It's also believable that Anas Sarwar would be willing to work with a party, that has even gone so far as to question his loyalty to Scotland based on his ethnicity.
He works with people in Scottish Labour, who have openly claimed that he was unfit to be leader as "Scotland wouldn't vote for a brown Muslim P**i".

Offord could have been referring to two events when he said it happened at the start of the election campaign in Paisley.
One is last Sunday's BBC leader's debate. Which was the first televised debate of the campaign and took place in Paisley.
The other which is more likely, is at the one day event Scottish Labour held at Paisley Town Hall on the 27th of February.

Coming out of last night's Channel 4 Scotland leader's debates, there was one hell of an accusation thrown out by Reform leader Malcolm Offord.
Specifically that he had been approached by Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar in Paisley at the start of the campaign, with Sarwar asking him to work together to stop the SNP.
Sarwar denies this happened. But his track record of lying about electoral alliances and the specific allegation of it taking place in Paisley suggests otherwise.

MattGPT, aka Matt Goodwin has been named as a "visiting fellow", and was paid the full €10,000 each month.
He hosted various speaking engagements for the MCC in Hungary. So at least he had to do some work, rather than potentially just get by with AI written articles for his Substack.

Douglas Murray has also from the looks of things been a recipient of Orban's generosity, to talk positively about his administration.
It's understood that Toby Young and his organisation Free Speech Union have also been in receipt of money from Orban to speak positively about Hungary under his corruption, and champion the hostility to anyone who doesn't fit into the far-right's perfect world view.

Nigel Farage's communications consultant, and host of the European Conservative podcast, Mick Hume has confirmed to be one of the regularly paid by Orban.

A number of people have also received €10,000 a month from the Orban regime as a "visiting fellow" through the Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC). Which Peter Magyar has announced he immediately has stopped funding.

Although both Gove and Orr insist that they're unpaid directors, the RSLF has received over £500,000 in funding from Orban, and has given out numerous prizes and grants to people speaking positively about his regime.

Magyar has described it as criminal, and would likely look to both reclaim the money and file charges against anyone who willingly took money to whitewash what has effectively been a mafia state for the benefit or Orban and his cronies.

So I wound up watching Super Mario: Galaxy yesterday, as part of my day job. So a quick spoiler free review.
It wasn't terrible. But not much beyond that. If you weren't familiar with some of the Nintendo IPs, then the jokes would have gone over your head.
There was no recap of the previous events. So they're banking on everyone having watched the first Mario movie. So maybe arrange to watch the first before you go, to avoid anyone (including kids) being lost.

Iran has rejected a 'final demand' style negotiation to secure a peace treaty with the United States.
Some things to consider.
1. Iran already had a peace treaty they signed under President Obama. Which Trump ignored because apparently it's what Israel wanted.
They likely don't trust the United States to abide by any further agreements. Especially under Trump's administration.
2. Israel is ignoring the agreed ceasefire. No surprises there. When have they ever stuck to one?
Some things to consider.

Just about every journalist turns up in Clacton and finds people who don't know any of Farage's policies beyond "STOP THE BOATS!"
Even when it's policies that will personally hurt them.
Just this week I had a co-worker ask me about the Holyrood elections. Because she doesn't watch the news or follow politics. She also told me that she cast a vote for Farage's lot because she liked him on I'm A Celebrity.

Can you imagine how humiliating it would have been had a constituent said "It's nice of you to turn up for once. Welcome to Clacton", or something along those lines?
Or perhaps asked when he intends to hold a surgery, so that local people can actually put their concerns to him for once?
He's not completely stupid on that front. Gutless. But not stupid.

Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar, and former Scottish Greens leader Patrick Harvie are both elected MSPs for Glasgow, and have appeared on Question Time editions from Glasgow.
Labour's Edinburgh MP Ian Murray has was involved in a taping from Edinburgh.
But if Farage really wants a more relevant example to him, then perhaps he could look to the man he unseated in 2024, Giles Watling.
