I set the “spare” camera on the garden box to see what in the world the child invader was running into our backyard for. Electrical boxes and transformers sometimes explode due to the catastrophic, instantaneous release of energy caused by electrical faults, which produces intense heat and rapid pressure buildup. These explosions are usually not just a "spark" but rather a violent, rapid vaporization of metal and insulating oil (in the case of transformers), resulting in a loud bang, flash, and often flying shrapnel. I feel a little like a rat, but called 311 about the car parked in front of the house since early December. Before that it was parked next door. Around here it’s not unlikely that it’s owned by a small dealership and an employee has a dozen of them parked around the neighborhood.
