Studied until 7.15pm then did a maths tutorial (spoiler: for a guy who has spent the last three decades plus change as a programmer, I still suck at maths).

I'm about a week ahead of things, and next week is the first major assessment. Tomorrow night off, then I'll work on updating my notes and glossary on Wednesday and Thursday, then off work Friday for Up Helly Aa.

I'm enjoying it. @JoBee@mastodon.art seems happy living with a student 🤣 and I've got my science head back on. It's going pretty well.

This morning's hike cut into study time. Though it was 100% worth it.

I've since ploughed through the good old cell cycle and mitosis, and a few other bits. I don't remember G1 => S => G2 => M phases when I learnt this back in the 80s, it was just "Interphase" and then the mantra (still in my skull after 40 years) of "Prophase, Metaphase, Anaphase, Telophase, Cytokinesis". Fun stuff though. More cobwebs brushed away. Happy undergrad. 🤣

Early morning 8 km hike over to the east side of the island and back, a few hours ago. Good to decompress after a tough week, and remember where my priorities lie. What is really important to me.

(Also grabbed some sheep bones for my eldest's zoologist partner. Cuz I'm a good Dad. Currently soaking them in 50% bleach solution.)

Hombadaka Boko! The adventurers FINALLY reached The Smoking Ruin in tonight's RuneQuest session, and my stupidly detailed map (made in Inkarnate, uploaded to FoundryVTT) seemed to be a success.

Great role-playing by the crew back in England. ❤️

Despite some good rolls, I think the comedy highlight of the night was me saying "Surely even you can't screw up a Beast Rune roll?" to the Storm Bull Initiate, moments before the dice came up 00. 🐮

Played our first few co-op games of Kinfire Delve: Vainglory's Grotto with @JoBee@mastodon.art earlier. Lots more fun with multiple players, and she's pretty sneaky as Asha, the thief/assassin, discarding cards and turning Vainglory's strengths against them. Won one, lost one to bad luck (three Exhaustion Cards that lost us the game). Looking forward to playing more, and the other characters.
