I just did mine with paraffin, which worked great but since most of the wax ends up spread across the countryside I wondered about using something biodegradeable.

(If not wax, are there other consumable products, chain lube etc, that you recommend that are biodegradable?)

I never remember to take photos while riding, but I think if I had a camera mount on my bicycle, I could easily use an older point-and-shoot. I guess maybe an Arca Swiss or other type of quick release mount would be good for this, better than a standard 1/4"-20 tpi photo mount?

Q3. What do you think wears out a tube more, high pressure (more stress in the tube) or low pressure (more squirm in the tube)?

I pump up my tires to the min pressure indicated on the side wall (maybe 5psi over), and I'm always impressed by the improvement of the ride after inflating. But even at min+5 I'm very much aware of the road surface that I don't feel on slightly deflated tires.
