Just dug a worn tyre out the shed to see if it still had life in it. This was the repair made ~50km from the end of an 850km race a couple of years back, somewhat panicking as I had it in my mind that I was being chased down by those behind. Buried myself to get to the finish ahead at like 4am, slept for a few hours then saw the next rider in and bought them breakfast to celebrate us completing it. #GoodTimes #bikePacking #cycling #BikeTooter

Bought some forks for the n+1 XC build off Fleabay and the seller looks to have trimmed the steerer with an axe. Plenty of length to square off, but still. They also didn't include the handlebar clamp with the remote, so gonna have to buy a matchmaker one, which makes me even more pleased that I negotiated on price.
I'm still waiting on a couple of bits to arrive to be able to complete things, but got enough now to get on with some tinkering this evening.
