literally every fediverse server also acts as one, and if you are so worried about privacy, perhaps a public focused protocol like this isn't the best option.

I didn't start Pixelfed to become rich or famous.
I started it because I wanted to prove that I could be a real web dev/programmer by taking a chance and starting my first full stack open source project.
7 years later, I'm so proud I took that step and left my automotive tech career behind to become a self taught developer.
You all have pushed me to strive to exceed expectations, helped me come out as gay, be a better project leader and learn from my mistakes.

I owe so much to @nlnet@social.nlnet.nl for funding Pixelfed as their first fediverse project back in 2019.
I would've been homeless if it wasn't for them, and expediting my first milestone RFP.
A year ago we exploded and had to scale up, it was expensive, and that is where a large part of our Kickstarter funds were spent.
I'm now looking at dedicated hosting to reduce costs significantly, as it's not sustainable.
