Along with Turkeys Dünyayı Kurtaran Adam (1982 ) & Italy’s Starcrash (1978) Japan’s Message From Space is another early Star Wars rip off. It’s probably the closest to the source material featuring a wise sage, a princess in distress & a robot sidekick The costume & design is impressive and reminded me of the French illustrator Philippe Druillet. Beba-2 the robot is more annoying than Twiki (Buck Rogers) but it’s a cool design. Directed by Kinji Fukasaku #starwars
