I didn't know I had a favourite musical director. Barrington Pheloung was the musical.director and composer for #InspectorMorse #Endeavour and #Lewis. He also contributed to many films and tv shows A wonderful movie about the du Pré sisters, Hilary and Jackie was incredibly scored. The interweaving of #music and #opera with the dramatic themes of Morse is unmatched. Pheloung was only 65 when he died in 2019. The opening theme of Inspector Morse is simple but brilliant. Morse code for M.O.R.S.E. Dated and maudlin at times, it is still classic #TV made better by the music and Morse's relationship to it. https://youtu.be/u20sVtCxf_8

I’ve been watching ‘Invincible’ since it started and it’s fine (gory for sure). Each season I watch, forget and move on. Season 4 though, I’m like, “Maybe I’ll hold on to this and rewatch” So much better story telling! #TV

Oh no! /s What a joyous sight! Our new Samsung TV will never see the outside world. It's connected to our network via ethernet, locked on a VLAN so Home Assistant can connect to it, but it can see nothing except my local DNS server (for now). I've preemptively blocked its WiFi MAC address in case anyone ever accidentally tries to "help" by connecting it to the WiFi. Fully working with Home Assistant. Dumb screen otherwise. So there are definitely moments of confusion amd/or explanation required as to why I genuinely NEED to retain this item or that item, because this is non-obvious to the hoarding specialist. Family and friends usually know or can recognise why I have something or something is located in an odd place (as opposed to where one might expect considering the item's intended purpose), but even they sometimes might be scratching their heads over something. Aside: I just realised that if I ever have the time, perhaps adding large labels like the classic #Batman #TV series did on their #batcave gadgets would be helpful to the many who aren't able to recognise a #repurposing. 🦇 😂 17/x #disability #accessibility #mitigation #modification #alteration #repurposing
