@toonie@meow.social Tbh some cats are just generally larger, especially male cats of certain breeds. Weight alone doesn’t tell you much, body shape matters more. If you can *easily* feel his ribs when touching *and* he has a visible waist shape when you look at him from above when he is standing up, then he might just be a big-framed little dude. But honestly, the safest bet is to get a vet's opinion whether or not he needs to eat less and if so how to go about it.
Edit: Also, respectfully to the other couple of comments I've seen saying "he doesn't look fat in the pics", a picture is no way to 100% tell if an animal needs to lose weight or if there are any underlying issues you need to check, and I personally wouldn't solely rely on strangers on the internet for the wellbeing of my pets.

This week's episode of 'Daredevil: Born Again' was probably my favourite from both seasons so far. Also the one that felt the closest to channelling the heart and the spirit of the OG series. From its Netflix days, the show has been on a different level when it comes to having real stakes and character-driven plots, and handling human complexity and grey areas way better than many of the other MCU projects.
Especially compared to the sanitised, formulaic, and surface-level approach of some of the films, (most of) the street-level shows have always felt more raw and grounded, and 'The Grand Design' was a solid example of that.

Happy 25th anniversary to one of the most underrated (loose) comic book adaptations of all time. 'Josie and the Pussycats' didn't rock the box office, but it's a hell of a fun film that was ahead of its time. It had girl power and friendship, colourful costumes, Alan Cumming as a shady executive, and pure unadulterated 90s vibe.
Beyond the surface, it was a clever satire with a strong anti-consumerism message and commentary on media manipulation, manufactured trends, and how big labels treat art as a product and artists as disposable tools, highlighting the contrast between soulless capitalist approach and genuine individuality and inspiration. With a fantastic pop punk soundtrack and original songs performed by Kay Hanley, singer of Letters to Cleo, and John Stephan & J’son Thomas for the DuJour performances.

Today marks the 30th anniversary of the first 'Resident Evil' game, released in Japan as 'Biohazard' (バイオハザード, Baiohazādo) back in 1996. The first in a series that still keeps going and evolving for 3 decades, it (re)defined the survival horror genre and the Playstation as a console. Drawing inspiration from titles like 'Alone in the Dark' and 'Sweet Home', and of course from George Romero's zombie films. The games, and the characters, have come a long way through the years, through remakes and sequels, and it's no coincidence they remain so popular today.
That said, nothing beats the uber-cheesy campiness and the so-bad-it's-good acting of the original. Lines like: "You were almost a Jill sandwich!" and "It's a weapon! It's really powerful, especially against living things!" just cannot be replicated. The infamous zombie dog jump scare scene in the hallway, the door opening loading screens, and the overall tank gameplay that many of us experienced even though we were too young to play this game, but did so anyway.
