Second Amendment supporters love to shout "shall not be infringed!" as if this is the end-all and be-all. So why are there no rallies supporting an 18-yr-old adult's right carry wherever he wants? Of course, the #GunNuts will condemn the serial murderer as mentally-ill and, by definition, _not_ a #RGO (a Responsible Gun Owner) like them. But they all have summat in common, a fetish for and ownership of (lots of) #Guns. And a warped grievance-collector mindset suited to mass murder. Removing easy access to firearms reduces that risk. Alex Pretti was a registered 'concealed carry' gun owner. A mob of masked armed men dressed in a hodgepodge of outfits, even blue-jeans, some but not all emblazoned with 'ICE Agent' or 'Federal Agent' badges, forced him prone, took the pistol he was legally entitled to carry, and executed him. #GOP and #NRA claim #2A is Americans' defence against tyranny. @KimSJ@mastodon.social You're right - mass _peaceful_ protest brings down tyrannical governments (DDR, Romania, Shah's Iran, etc, etc.). But no, we've been told that the #2A much vaunted for years by the #GunNuts was the bulwark defending U.S. democracy against over-reach by an oppressive government. Yet, we've not heard a peep from Gun Nuts, mostly cos they've likely all taken jobs as #ICEcoldKillers! No bad thing - with so many guns on both sides, armed resistance will cost far too many innocent lives.
