@chris nicht mit einer #Chatmail Adresse. Das macht schon deshslb keinen Sinn, weil Chatmail Adressen keine unverschlüsselten Nachrichten empfangen können. Wenn ich #DeltaChat mit einer E-Mail Adresse verwende kann ich E-Mails-Adressen anschreiben. Wenn ich eine Chatmail Adresse verwende nicht.

@pepecyb ja, wenn Du mit DeltaChat einen anderen Account anschreibst der auch bei DeltaChat ist schon. Theoretisch kannst Du auch eine normale E-Mail Adresse anschreiben die nicht bei DeltaChat ist -

@ulrich genau, die Chatmail Relays sind sozusagen E-Mail Server mit einer streng angepassten Konfiguration. Wenn Du darüber chattest kannst Du von maximaler Sicherheit ausgehen. Auch wenn in Zukunft weitere Sicherheitseinstellungen dazu kommen. Für 2026 ist noch einiges geplant bei #DeltaChat 🙈

@maklem@social.leuchtstark.dev was halt sehr spannend ist, wenn man Länder betrachtet die das Internet einschränken wollen, man kann E-Mail als transportweg relativ schlecht pauschal sperren ohne das sich das negativ auswirkt. Dadurch kann die Kommunikation über #DeltaChat unter Umständen lange unbemerkt bleiben.

@midge@mastodon.me.uk That's a pretty good description. When describing #DeltaChat, I try to avoid using the term “e-mail address” and prefer to say “chatmail address” instead.

@Peppaplanta@sueden.social nein Du musst keine E-Mail Adresse bei #DeltaChat angeben. Beim anlegen eines Accounts wird eine Chatmail Adresse angelegt, die ist aber vollkommen anonym. DeltaChat ist in Syrien eine recht stark genutzte App, soweit ich weiß. @mro@digitalcourage.social @delta@chaos.social @FreeBSDFoundation@mastodon.social
