Voters rejected MAGA and their Dem helpers, and the ReTHUGlicans showed us their playbook to block people from voting in Dallas. The first primaries of the 2026 midterms have begun. We’re already seeing Democrat enthusiasm, with record turnout for Democratic voters. And voters are continuing to vote against MAGA, even in long-standing red states! Democrats won a key special election in Arkansas. This was a House seat the GOP won by 2pts in 2024, but this year it was a blowout – Dems won by a 20+ point margin! In an important note for the Democratic Party: Dem primary voters rejected Dems who help MAGA. This is what #democracy looks like. To suggest that a single ideal will resonate as truthful, will only work if you do not let it pass through other versions of itself, in relation to how you use and rely upon its existing connections to reality. That is how you change truth, as opposed to how truth changes you.

I want to make it clear: opposing #fascism is not political. It is not a #Conservative thing, it is not a #Liberal or #Progressive thing. It is a #democracy thing. It is a #citizen, a #community thing. Because a #fascist government is effectively indistinguishable from feudalism. There are a few nobles, and everyone else is a #slave. We have been here before. It is not good for anyone. There isn't a 1%. There are a couple dozen individuals, maybe. Being #antifascist is being #human.

This current phase of US fascism was 50 yrs in the planning. Up till the 1970s, US oligarchs had tolerated some democracy, but the 1960s screamed "guillotines!". What Powell & Rockefeller called a dangerous "excess of democracy" had to be dismantled. They started with higher education & the media, then the courts... #Society and #democracy in the #west is going to break down. This is a case of an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object. They, the #billionaires and #corporations have already pushed us too far, and are still pushing. #Governments are not going to stop them. Eventually there will be an uprising which will be kerb-stomped, and people will react like with the #ICE shootings. The reaction will become unstoppable. We are in the early stages of a #revolution this is history being written.

What we've seen in MN with middle class white folks putting themselves in harms way to protect their neighbors shows the spirit of what should serve as our path forward. The extension of empathy into action as solidarity. And going forward this is what we need not just in resisting fascism but in all of our efforts. We need to dig deep for broad #solidarity in recognition that our real power comes from solidarity across all our superficial differences. Our politics should not be based on focus groups, calculations, establishment strategy but simply the value and principle of solidarity in service to all of us, the 99% that is the working class. - Universal Healthcare - Universal Basic Income - Opening the electoral process to multiple parties - Building of our movement outside of the political process: Workers in workplaces and community folk in neighborhoods building #labor organizing, mutual aid, self defense and lived, grassroots #democracy at the street level.
