🚴⌨️🚗🛩️ From bicycles and typewriters to automobiles and aircraft parts. This old powerhouse powered neighbouring factories through the German Democratic Republic and Soviet times before falling into abandonment in the 1990s. This building is a glorious example of early Art Deco industrial design.

🔏 An old disused prison in Germany.
Initially designed for medium-term and pre-trial detention, this building and its 50 single-occupancy cells have witnessed some darker chapters in history.
Disused since the 1980s, the khaki green halls still contain haunting cells with folding bunks and reinforced doors.
