This morning at Clapham Junction, South Western #Railway (SWR) surprised passengers with a ballet performance by students from the Royal Academy of Dance. The dancers performed ‘Extended Lines’ aboard an Arterio train, celebrating the fleet’s rollout to all 96 stations on SWR’s suburban network. The five Senior Scholars, aged 15–16, moved through pliés, penchés and jetés, showcasing their artistry while highlighting the train’s larger, more comfortable carriages with Wi-Fi and charging points. SWR now runs 35 Arterios across more than 400 daily services, linking #London #Waterloo to destinations including #Dorking, #Guildford, and #Windsor. https://www.southwesternrailway.com/other/news-and-media/news/2026/february/ballet-training

#Transport for #London Freedom of Information release: #TfL has published its response to an FOI request about the outer boundary of Zone 6 in #Surrey. The requester sought the rationale for setting the Zone 6 boundary at #Surbiton on routes to #Guildford and #Woking, and at #Hampton Court for Thames Ditton and Hampton Court stations, as well as any related meeting minutes or correspondence on extending Zone 6 in Elmbridge. TfL said the zonal system was introduced around 30 years ago, broadly based on six concentric zones across London, with few changes since and only where revenue impacts allowed. TfL confirmed it has no power to extend zones to stations outside its network, stating this would be for the train operator and the Department for Transport. It holds no relevant correspondence and no minutes from a May 2025 meeting with Monica Harding MP. TfL noted fares are mainly based on station-to-station pairings and referred queries to South Western Railway. https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/transparency/freedom-of-information/foi-request-detail?referenceId=FOI-3854-2526
