A Taiwanese Indigenous group was booked to perform at the AFC Asia Cup semi-final match between Taiwan and China in Perth on Friday night. Il Tempo: Cina, aperto il centro stampa per le “Due Sessioni” annuali PECHINO (CINA) (XINHUA/ITALPRESS) – Venerdì è stato inaugurato presso il Media Center Hotel di Pechino il centro stampa per le sessioni annuali della massima assemblea legislativa e dell'organo consultivo politico della Cina, note come “due sessioni”. La quarta sessione del 14esimo Congresso Nazionale del Popolo e la quarta sessione del 14esimo Comitato Nazionale della Conferenza Consultiva Politica del Popolo Cinese inizieranno rispettivamente il 5 e il 4 marzo. Secondo il centro stampa, oltre 3.000 giornalisti, di cui più di 1.000 provenienti da Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan e dall'estero, si sono registrati per seguire le “due sessioni” di quest'anno. A critical strategic question emerges as conflict expands: What will China do regarding Taiwan? If Beijing seizes this moment to move against the island while US is focused on Iran, the conflict would fully transition into World War III. Meanwhile, China is actively supplying Iran with offensive and defensive weapons as US prepares for strikes: kamikaze drones, advanced anti-ship missiles, hypersonic missiles, HQ-16 and HQ-17AE air defense systems. China and Iran are also negotiating potential acquisition of the DF-17 hypersonic glide vehicle, designed to evade advanced air defenses. Beijing has informed several Arab nations about these shipments—interpreted as attempting to deter US attack while demonstrating willingness to back Iran. A simultaneous Middle East conflict and Taiwan crisis would stretch US military resources across two oceans. #China #Iran #Taiwan #WWIII

@transicorn@mastodon.social it's also cultural. Here in #Taiwan, many people were masks whenever they leave their home. Others carry masks with them to put on when they are clinics, and hospitals. Many places that serve food or in other ways deal with many customers (e.g. bank tellers) require those employees to where masks. Workers and/or customers aren't complaining.

I lost my wallet in Taipei. It was returned to the police station. Not only that, but all the cash and cards were still there, and had been removed, catalogued, and put back with such neat orderliness that I'm tempted to lose my wallet more often, if only to take advantage of this extra service. 😍 My wallet is normally a horror-show of scruffy disorder. For the first time in years, I feel like a proper, upstanding citizen. #Taiwan
