Today our rooftop solar generated ~75% of our power. I bet we would have been >100% had we not charged Jillian’s car and not washed (and dried) multiple comforters. None of this is a problem, just excited commentary. So much fun.

We drove all the way downtown to get yummy dinner. Every single gas station is at $2.99. Normally there is variability. It seems no one wants to be the $3 pioneer. I bet this doesn’t last long.

@shibaprasad@mstdn.party yeah there was a lot of talk about a project I think was called nightshade that could totally wreck AI. For example somehow have an I wanted scrape of an image of a car but walk away with it convinced it was an asparagus. Same with text somehow. It was so cool.
Also there were like…. traps? An AI crawler could get stuck processing nonsense

It was supposed to be sunny today. It is thus far, not. However the still 100% cloud coverage is the thinnest it has been all week, except for a few very brief Sol Peekaboos yesterday.

One thing I don't understand about dems is this: Our team gets a real boner every time Don Whoreleon does something that upsets the right. And then the right whines.
Sure, it's fun to point and laugh and say "we told you so." But it's not like they are suddenly going to start voting for level-headed, actually qualified women or minorities. At this point they are codependent. I don't see any chance of them abandoning ship until the Big Beautiful Day.

I saw a post yesterday with a drought map and the KC area had some color. There is no way we're in any sort of drought. We were over average rainfall in Jan and Feb. Nearly over our March average just 6 days in. It's been low and slow w/ storms in between for nearly week. Deep, soaking rain. Not all at once.
I don't think the account that posted it was intentionally being deceptive but it was another reminder to be deeply skeptic of everything.

I'm sorry to see the division in Texas on the Talarico vs Crockett situation. They were both great candidates. Imagine that, we FINALLY have good choices.

Sooooo. A nice IBEW fella came, knocked on the door said we’d have a small blip in power while he confirmed the install AND added the extra meter. Today we formally add solar to the list of things we harvest here at #MacJohnsonFarm, phase 3.

Solar update, and more complaining about our investor-owned utility:
A few days shy of a calendar month since install, we've cleared another of what must be 69 steps towards being able to actually turn the system on.
Now waiting for a post-inspection which could take "up to 21 business days." Then it's another up to 30 days for meter exchange/reprogramming. Because multiple trips is awesome!

As a human I reserve the right to complain about the weather anytime it deviates from the my very narrow 30-40 degree (f) comfort window. And to be particularly loathesome when the weather is misalign

As a human I reserve the right to complain about the weather anytime it deviates from the my very narrow 30-40 degree (f) comfort window. And to be particularly loathesome when the weather is misaligned to my schedule, or whims.
That said, after weeks of having bad weather weekends followed by beautiful Mondays I need to acknowledge that the weather yesterday was chef's kiss perfect. First nice Saturday in memory. And for that, I'm thankful.
