Well, this is different.
I'm extremely picky about my coffee and like Eight o'clock, which is an East Coast brand. The only place I can find it here in Washington state is at Walmart. I hate going into Walmart. So when I get low on coffee I order it online. Today, to my surprise, they're offering free same-day delivery. This might be business as usual for folks who live in cities, but I'm 10 miles out of town in a rural area. (1/2)

On tap for today: more work on the bottom of my boat, since I got hardly anything done yesterday. I did work a bit on scraping the barnacles and mussels off and it went very well. It'll be an easy, Zen sort of job where I can listen to an audiobook and mindlessly scrape away at dead, crusty sea life. (1/2)

Up early this morning, awakened by one of my own home automation set ups.🙄
My home has high ceilings and a loft and my heating ducts are on the loft. I have a temperature sensor up there and a fan to blow accumulated warm air out toward the living room where ceiling fans can bring it down into the room. Although the fan was originally set not to activate until temperature exceeded 69F after 7 AM, I think I removed the time restriction because it went on at 3 AM. (1/2)

Well, the project has gotten more serious than I expected and requires a trip to Home Depot. I could not hand sand the prop. Well, I could, but I would be spending the rest of my life doing so. My orbital sander did a decent job but it couldn't get into the tight spots and I'm not sure how I'm going to do the other side of the prop with it. So I decided to get a little detail sander at Home Depot. I've already paid for it; I just need to go pick it up.

I've also been seeing a lot of emails lately that are so vague that I have no clue what they're trying to sell me. If it wasn't for the signature area that includes the full name of the company, I would never know that they were trying to sell me labels. At least, that's what I think they're trying to sell.

Years ago, one of my publishers wanted a book about charting in Excel. I put together a proposal, mentioning that a skilled charter could make a chart say anything. They wanted the book, but it was near the end of my writing career; I was too burned out to stay enthusiastic so I bowed out.
THIS is an example of a chart that uses its scale to mislead viewers about the increase in gold prices over the past 100 years. Compare it to the one I just cooked up in LibreOffice that has a normal scale.

Out of curiosity, I just checked the scrap value for my 0.78 ounces (or 22 grams) 14k gold charm bracelet, gifted to me in the early 1970s. I ALMOST scrapped it about 2 years ago when I could have gotten about $900 for it. Today, its SCRAP value is $1700. 😳
