When I was younger I was short of cash, when I wanted to upgrade something I had to sell something.

For example, when I bought my first PC I had to sell my Amiga A500 to help pay for it.

Of course now I wish I still had all those things. I call it Retro Regret.

I wish I had it all back, but if I could pick only two things, I'd probably pick my Dreamcast and my super cool Gameboy Advance SP NES edition.

What system did you used to have that you wish you still had!?

I mostly stick to Home and Local feeds here, but occasionally I have a look at the Global feed out of interest.

Don't recommend doing it when you're on packed public transport, there is some wild NSFW stuff on there!

Whenever sport is occurring (which is always), the Global feed is overwhelmed by sportsbots.xyz. If I wanted to see stuff from people and organisations who refuse to leave Twitter, I'd still be on Twitter!

Anyway, that domain is now blocked, it's lovely to be in control 😀

Postie just arrived bringing all my Valentine's Day cards, or so I thought. Turned out to be a water bill.

Prices going up 9.8% "to pay for infrastructure", despite the fact they've paid out almost £80 billion in dividends since privatisation. And we've got off lightly compared to a lot of the country.

It's almost like selling off essential services to private investors is a bad idea!

I am really enjoying Journal with Witch (Ikoku Nikki), anime that feels like it was written by an actual adult.

It's about grief, family, relationships and the expectations adults put on kids, kids put on adults and society puts on everyone.

The conversations between the characters feel real and nuanced. Can't recommend it enough!

There's a new, "final" trailer for Project Hail Mary and once again I just have to say: if you're interested in watching it and haven't read the book, DO NOT WATCH THESE TRAILERS!

I don't know how or why they came to these decisions on what to show, but they spoil plot points in the story that are supposed to come as a complete suprise.

If you watched and enjoyed The Martian, just trust me that this is going to be cool and go in to watch it cold.

Not many Bandcamp Friday purchases today, just got the two Castle Rat albums. I had been holding out for the vinyl, but they had sold out when I saw them on tour and thanks to *you know who* it's prohibitively expensive to get anything from the USA now.

Oh, I also got Keaton Henson's Kindly Now album, but off his own website rather than Bandcamp.

Can't get two much more different acts!
