Getting really tired of people unclear on the concept.
For selective service, you have to either go to a website yourself, or mail in a postcard. It's NOT automatic, in fact you are required to do it yourself within 30 days of your birthday.
And in my state (not all states, but in mine and some others) they actually DO automatically register you to vote when you go to the DMV, which here you typically do on your birthday.

I'm not sure how many were given, thousands I think, but it's a finite supply. unless Ukraine can make those boosters themselves.

@ShiitakeToast @MintSpies I'm using a sourdough starter and I am reasonably accurate when feeding, but when making a batch of dough, I try and use a generous 1/4 cup pf starter then 4 cups flour, then exactly 2 tsp salt and 2 tbsp sugar, (because I read that you don't want to shock the yeast by direct contact with salt and sugar) and 1 & 1/2 cups of water, but then every time I have to adjust the consistency (usually with more flour) until it's in a kneadable condition.

@floatybirb The backstory is, people WANTED them to survive, because this is Vermont, and so they got loans that maybe we're bigger or more risky than they should have been, because "community support" was going to make their business succeed where others didn't. The coop part isn't blameless.

@floatybirb I know that one of the longest running worker owned and run ag supply places here, Gardener's Warehouse, is going out of business due to bankruptcy. Been around since I was a kid, 40+ years, they took it from a private to a worker owned biz, and then ultimately mis-managed it into the ground, apparently. 🤷♂️
