@reallyflygreg@mstdn.ca @toddalio@mstdn.ca I'm inclined to believe that it is indeed the people who don't understand technology (specifically: they think that everything works like their smart 'phone or Microsoft Windows 11 PC do) making policy; or that they did understand the technology and were just crap at drafting legislation such that it could distinguish the Microsoft Store, Google Play, the Apple App Store, et al. from #Ubuntu's package repository and #OpenBSD's ports tree. And that distinguishing criterion is not #FreeSoftware. Given the aims, the #California legislators would want #FDroid to be required to hand over #AgeVerification data to free-software apps that F-Droid allows, that themselves want to impose age restrictions (on, say, showing certain content to minors) via the route of getting the account holder's age (bracket) information from the operating system via a 'signal' from the 'store'. https://monitor.f-droid.org/anti-features #FreeBSD #NetBSD #Debian #CaliforniaLaw #USLaw

Im Fediverse seit 26.04.2022 Hier her umgezogen aus dem TrötCafe. Den ersten Kaffee gibt es schon morgens im Bett. Ich koche und backe gerne und bekomme beides inzwischen auch recht gut hin. Backen klappt besser als kochen. Begeistert für die Fliegerei. Am liebsten fliege ich selber. Das Meer ist für mich ein Ort der Ruhe. Ich bin für die Legalisierung von Cannabis und gleichzeitig für die Regulierung der Abgabe von Alkohol und Nikotin. Oft in Südwest England (Devon) anzutreffen. Meine Boosts stellen nicht immer meine Meinung dar. @Walker@infosec.exchange I'm sure they have their own proprietary AI models, but compared to corporate ones they're smoking on the sidelines :) I was actually writing an article about F-Droid today and I use it too. Since I'm a developer, I've reviewed all my past mistakes and now I want to create more open source. But since I have obligations to myself and to my partners, and I'm a person who loves keeping my promises, we have projects I can't open because it would violate signed agreements. So for the future I plan to write only open source code. Happy to meet like-minded people—already subscribed, the content is great. #fdroid #opensource

Die Daten können verschlüsselt exportiert und wieder importiert werden. Verfügbar in Playstore: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.stratumauth.app Um ihn aus #fdroid zu laden muss man das Repository dort importieren. Verfügbar hier: https://stratumauth.com/download Warum der nicht direkt in fdroid ist weiß ich nicht.

Ich habe auf mein Telefon ein privacy Glas gepackt und sofort bemerkt wie verdammt dunkel das dispaly dadurch wird. Ich habe gedacht "es muss doch eine #foss Lösung geben" natürlich habe ich diese schnell gefunden die nette APP "autolight". Mit dieser kann man einstellen wie hell oder dunkel dsd display sein soll je nachdem wie viel die Lichteinstrahlung von außerhalb einwirkt. Zwischenfazit zum 2. #diday : #microslop bin ich schon seit längerem los, #google muss ich noch Maps und den Play Store wegkriegen. Ich bin zwar auf #fdroid und den Aurora Store gewechselt, brauche für Updates aber noch den Play Store. Will ich aber auch ändern. Kopfzerbrechen bereitet mir aber #meta : Instagram, Facebook und den ganzen Kram hatte ich zwar noch nie aber bei Whats app sind halt alle. Achso, ein Update zu meinem #Homeserver : Hab mir jetzt ein USB auf PCIe SSD Adapter besorgt, jetzt läuft er. Immich läuft schon, Nextcloud kommt die nächsten Tage. #did
