Proud to announce that my upcoming #nonfiction #picturebook is This Is Your Fight! Genora Johnson and the Flint Sit-Down Strike, to be published by Harper Collins next year. And it's being illustrated by The Brave Union (artists Kevin and Kristen Howdeshell)!
Yesterday marked the anniversary of the end of the 1936-37 strike- one of the most successful in American history. Workers occupied GM factories in Flint and persuaded the automaker to recognize the UAW.

I recommend you organize a bloc of ticket holders that go to the Melania movie with the express purpose of harassing and disrupting the showing of the film.

I'm saying folks don't move to action until there is a dire need. The extenuating circumstances in the twin cities are alerting people to those dire needs and moving them into action.
There is solidarity growing around that situation, but it's not hitting home for a critical mass of people until it's in their city. Hell there's not even a #GeneralStrike in MSP yet
