I've been dealing rampant state violence.
I started a petition to get the death of Jean Busch, a transgender patient, investigated as well as allegations of systemic abuse of Queer patients at Lemuel Shattuck Hospital and rampant deadly medical neglect of BIPOC patients in Massachusetts.
As a result of my whistleblowing on the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health, I am experiencing severe abuse and retaliation by the facility.
Fortunately damning evidence is finally surfacing of this abuse including a letter recently released by Disability Law Center.

Honestly, it's not rocket science.
People *can’t care about issues like The Climate Emergency when they’re in poverty, intentionally uneducated on the subject, surrounded in a toxic, authoritarian, albleist, capitalist, un-trauma informed culture that is spiritually bankrupt and doesn’t honor community and is constantly worried about their or their loved ones immediate safety.
Their are communities around the world that have succeeded in creating zero-waste economies so it's not something our brains are incapable of handling, maybe inherently challenging.
When the boat is sinking everyone needs to grab a bucket no matter what your expertise is. For the time being we need to work on fixing the above.

There is a pervasive misunderstanding of mental and emotional wellness challenges, “mental illness”, in our society. We all have them.
Trauma caused by abuse, poverty and lack of access to services exacerbates them in some of us to the point that we get labeled as “mentally ill” or “criminal”.
Even when there is a medical consensus, or even a legal consensus, that any specific behaviors, such as addiction or manic behaviors, are outside of our control we are somehow still responsible.
We are locked up in hospitals and prisons, further alienating and traumatizing us. We are told to take medicines, which we do, that often lead to more challenges and do not cure our problems, sometimes they cause even more.

I'm working on my hormone replacement therapy regiment and need some advice.
I am MTF non-binary/transgender.
I've started estradiol transdermal but am unsure, for various reasons, about wanting to start any androgen antagonists (like spironolactone).
I am interested in reducing facial and body hair and receding hairline for which 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors are used, namely *Finasteride and *Dutasteride.
What’s y'all's experience, if any, with these drugs?
My main concern is that there's a chance of increased anxiety and depression.

Imagine if someone was having “behavioral issues” with their kitten and in order to correct them someone suggested;
-shaming them
-restricting food
-restricting warmth
-isolating them from their kitty friends
-locking them in a cage with lots of other angry kittens
-impoverishing them and their entire cat family
-not allowing them to participate in cat society after release
That's what we do to humans.

In my experience you can pick up on the underlying beliefs and intents of anyone if you pay attention long enough.
Even people that might be labeled as "delusional".
It's pretty clear that Trump wants to be a dictator and intends to continue to do whatever he can to accomplish that.
What shocking is that anyone is shocked. His actions and words over many many years have asserted this repeatedly.

I've been wanting to create a sort of collective to help gender-diverse psych abuse survivors.
Like really helping them. With everything from housing, money, support groups, service dogs, patient advocacy, information and other resources.
From the moment the #justiceforjean petition started to pick up traction, link in bio, (CW), I started to realize fund raising might actually be an option and I immediately started dreaming of starting a fund/charity/org to help get gender-diverse patients in MA service dogs.
I feel like it's SO needed…it would save and improve soooo many lives… and I sense it's something people could really get behind donating to…who doesn't like puppies?

*being denied GAC as MA DMH patient myself and
* continuing to network with various law and legal groups I've come across a horrible truth:
⚠️MA Dept of Mental Health has no policies in place to ensure gender-diverse patients receive gender-affirming care!⚠️
This is shocking when considering that
👉🏼MA's Dept of Corrections already have policies and procedures in place👈🏿 to ensure inmates receive life-saving gender-affirming care!

I AM AN IT!
I am trying to convince the queer and trans community to EMBRACE the pronoun IT!
I realized over 5 years ago, before I realized my own trans, non-binary gender identity, that our community needed a singular, gender-neutral pronoun.
Being a linguist I understood that *We already have one!*

And, the best part, it's already in common usage (just not in referring to people).
So it's used as a slur. So what? So was queer! And guess what? Now most of us HAPPILY refer to ourselves as queer.
I think even people cis people should consider changing their pronouns to it/its in support of creating a world *where gender doesn't have to be assumed* just to have a fucking conversation!
(This is not to negate those who identify as plural/systems and feel more comfortable using they/them)

I've been dealing rampant state violence.
I started a petition to get the death of Jean Busch, a transgender patient, investigated as well as allegations of systemic abuse of Queer patients at Lemuel Shattuck Hospital and rampant deadly medical neglect of BIPOC patients in Massachusetts.
As a result of my whistleblowing on the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health, I am experiencing severe abuse and retaliation by the facility.
Fortunately damning evidence is finally surfacing of this abuse including a letter recently released by Disability Law Center.
