My main concern has been that for all of the people who would save him, it seems like him being dead wouldn't be a bad option, so there isn't a lot of compelling to save him, it's basically "we really like this guy so we're gonna take a massive ass gamble to sneak a freshly dead body in" versus people that didn't feel that way and can say "just go in and make it look like a suicide"

I'm simply noting that there are ways this could make sense. If we had something that wasn't a snipped comment from a lab report company which said he had a radical, then I'd be really questioning.
But my overall opinion is still that the people that would have the power to get him out and have a double placed there are very few and him dying there would be the cleaner option for all of them, so they'd really really have to owe him to try that operation.
Even the rothchilds, they could certainly afford it, but the problem is that if the operation wasn't successful, would they be actually firewalled?

Most AAA stuff can only have that crazy high production value by either making a boring sterile open world or having a highly crafted (but short playtime ) tailored world.
As the hitman series shows if you are careful enough with the latter, you can make it pretty interesting, and increase replayability by making compelling playthroughs
