Absolutely incredible that a bunch of people, primarily men of course, are attacking an MP because they wear clothes.

Because that’s what this boils down to.

Oh well that and that the said MP has got a vagina and isn’t calling for the abolition of other humans.

Just remember; the vast majority of people couldn’t give a toss what she wears. And her constituents presumably don’t either since they voted for her to go represent them and she didn’t change her style overnight.

Ahh I love it when I stumble across posts by the arrogant smuck that runs a competitor business where he’s giving clearly false information and clearly based on his own guesses and not even the most cursory check. In this instance it was essentially telling people that the massive BT Exchange here has nothing to do with digital connectivity services and is redundant. 100% false and bogus. It’s a major national hub site and has a huge role in regional connectivity.

I’m once again in a holding pattern whilst other people ponder if I know my own self enough to be worthy of something that in reality has increasingly limited benefit anyhow. One day I’ll understand how society thinks if you call it a kilt it’s ok for a man to wear it but if you call it a skirt it’s an outrage. It’s literally arbitrary rules for fabrics and styles being aligned to a gender. And yet we don’t universally do this. Loads of clothes are ok whichever gender. What utterly pointless “rules”.

The local adult store in Exeter (y’know the places that sell sex toys and suchlike) is applying for a license renewal. There are a couple of objections. One stating that women won’t feel safe with this type of store there (it’s been there for many many years). I guess they haven’t any idea that women buy sex toys from said shop. Or that women could be safe everywhere even if there’s a sex shop if we simply made women safe as a society. Wands and vibrators don’t make women unsafe.

Odd, was configuring an APC UPS Management Card only to discover you can't tell it to use an SMTP Server on a port number like 345 - it only accepts 25,465,587 or 5000 through to 32768. So what, you decided for me that I can't possibly run an SMTP server on any other port - except those 3 generally SMTP ports and then 'masses of other ports'. Bloody annoying.

Reform did: Manage to contribute to getting Labour to undo the skipping/delay of elections. Reform did not: Win in court. It never actually got heard in court. I know they claim it as a win, but as ever, there’s a difference between “won in court” and “resolved before it was heard in court”.

It’s staggering how many companies have systems where the name of an account holder doesn’t get updated when you update it. Even if it shows on the website or whatever, they’ll use the wrong name as they clearly have systems that save details elsewhere and don’t get linked to, or refreshed by, changes you make. Staggeringly poor record management.

Hopeless. Companies are so bad at this stuff.

@bloor@bloor.tw In a way the wording reminds me of a different but amusing choice of words. This morning DPD appear to have decided to rock up to our logistics site very early. They dumped our expensive electronics order outside and left. POD shows 'signed for' by me (lol, I don't work there so I didn't) and photo shows dumped outside. But on the tracking it says 'Sorry, we're not able to leave your parcel in a safe place' I think that isn't phrased how they think it is. But they did 'not leave safe'
