I'm sorry, how come some 2W #LED G4 bulbs on Amazon are #energy rating C, some E and some F whilst the 20W halogen is G?! Surely there should be more than 1 grade different for a bulb that draws 10x t

No, found an LED bulb with rating G... None of it makes sense.. I will say that the price range is insane though. G4 LED bulbs seem to go for 5 quid or more *each* on the high street, which is rather too much when you have 2 light fittings in one room, which each take 5 bulbs. They are £5-10 for a pack of 10 on Amazon.
