Remember how I said ICE was randomly leaving people in the middle of nowhere?
Imagine you’re blind. Your walking stick has been taken away. You don’t have a service dog. Your phone is gone, so you can’t call for help. You have no money and nothing to protect you from the weather. It’s the middle of the night, so you can’t easily call out for help — and even if you could, you’d be relying on a complete stranger to come to your aid. You can’t see where you are, don’t know where anything else is, and have no idea where you’ve been dropped off. In this instance, the poor blind man was left on the other side of town. Sighted people are often dropped off many miles away.
I’ve been seeing reports about this for months now — many of them with ICE agents laughing among themselves. We’re killing people. We may not have gas chambers, but we’ve still murdered enough people to fill a mass grave.

Real talk…
Personally, I don’t want to once again experience that “I told you” moment. I am so over it, because I don’t feel validation — I feel despair knowing things didn’t need to be like this, and we could have easily avoided all this nonsense.
It may surprise you, but I want to be wrong more often than I am right. Being right doesn’t feel rewarding or special if it means our world is a mess because everyone else was wrong, and you were right. Seeing the trainwreck ahead and watching people pour more fuel on it so we can all be part of that disaster is simply awful.
Crazy is doing the exact same thing, receiving the exact same awful results each time, yet still expecting a different outcome. That’s how I know we live in a mad world — because I watch my fellow countrymen do this every election cycle. People in Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa watch America make the same mistakes, and, just like me, they don’t understand why so many refuse to break the cycle.
We vote conservatively and moderately, which enables those conservatives — and so we keep drifting further toward right-wing fascism. This is known as the ratchet effect. If we don’t overcome that nonsense — if we do not go progressive left — we’re screwed. We can bitch and complain all day on social media while we’re still free to do so, for now, but if we don’t change our actions in the voting booth, none of it will matter.
Sure, vote Democrat, but make sure it’s a progressive Democrat — because not all Democrats are progressive, and not all Democrats are true Democrats. Don’t vote “blue no matter who”; instead, choose carefully, vote smart, and demand real change.

Those refunds don’t go to consumers (you and me), but to the corporations that directly paid the tariffs — and then passed those costs on to us.
More bad news: now that the tariffs are gone, prices aren’t going to drop back to what they were before. They never do. Corporations assume we’ve gotten used to paying more, and they see this as a win for higher profits. 😭

ICE screening at the Bank?
Like many people, my aunt usually does her banking online or, if necessary, uses an ATM. The ATM allows withdrawals in increments of $20 — for example, $20, $40, $60, $80, $100, $120, etc. My aunt only wanted to withdraw $10, so she went into the bank in person. She has had this bank account for many years. It is also important to mention that she has a government-issued Real ID, not just a state-issued driver’s license.
She presented her Real ID at the counter, and the bank teller proceeded to walk to the far side of the bank near the drive-through window. The bank teller then loudly began questioning my aunt to verify her full name, address, and phone number, but also asked whether she was “still” an American citizen — as if to imply that citizenship could somehow expire. The whole time, the bank teller held onto my aunt’s current government-issued Real ID. The bank teller then followed up by asking whether my aunt had citizenship elsewhere, which is something they do not need to know (and the answer was no).
This troubles me because, in Nazi Germany, people also began to experience such issues while banking, conducting business, and performing everyday tasks throughout their day. I fear we’re now seeing this here in the United States.

If enabled, it would make the whole ecosystem appear very patriotic, and by that I mean very pro-American and pro-Donald Trump. It further would give the perception that everyone was happy and blissfully OK. Nothing negative or upsetting would show up in anyone's general feed.
