I have an #xmpp server now. A #prosody instance. And I need to make a statement.

There are no good clients for macOS and iOS.

I think I tried all of them. #Monal is a lesser evil.

There is also #Fluux that is very good and really looks like software from the current century, but it still doesn’t support encryption.

This is sad 😔

My #EcoFlow River 3 has AC and DC output and #UPS capabilities. But, for some undocumented reason those capabilities aren’t for DC output. This is sad because I was about to connect a couple of mini PCs from my #homelab to Type-C ports for efficiency.

Started #zpool shinannigans. I'm switching from RAIDZ1 to Stripe storage type and want to remove two old, smaller drives. At the end, it should be one of those:

1. Same storage size, less power consumption, colder NAS, faster storage, and two empty drive bays.

2. Lost data, fire, and explosions.

I thought it would be easier to have #Linux up and running on my daughter’s #Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 laptop.
#Ubuntu and #LinuxMint work perfectly out of the box. Even the touch screen! But Ubuntu bricks completely after a couple of days of connecting and disconnecting an external display. And Mint crashes on every display manipulation, like changing the resolution or connecting an external one.

I’ll surely jump into this hole of troubleshooting. There’s no way I’ll bring back #Windows on it.
