@blogdiva They won't save ALL the money they were paying to Microsoft. Someone will still need to program and maintain the systems and servers etc. But those people will mostly be French people. The money won't be going to America.

I truly enjoyed “A Song for a New Day” by Sarah Pinsker (@sarahpinsker), more than anything else I've read for a long time.
The setup might *sound* a little clichéd—a future in which live concerts are outlawed—but it's anything but that.
I would call it a rock-and-roll “Station Eleven” or a musical take on “Fahrenheit 451”—maybe an upbeat echo of Ling Ma’s “Severance” but any of those would be too trite. It's a warm, elegiac, hopeful book about creativity and people standing up in difficult times.
