The Sumatra pitviper (Parias sumatranus) is an amazing looking, large and heavy bodied treesnake species. The heatpits with which they have infrared vision can be seen, giving them vision in the dark rainforest nights. They are found on Sumatra, Borneo, west Malaysia, southern Thailand and Singapore.
