Maybe it's just me, but anyone who thinks a moderate white male (or any other moderate, to be honest) is the best route to a better future may want to reassess. She's fabulous and unlike just about any other elected official in US politics.

@SharonCrockett@toot.community It's clear to me, too, and has been for some time. Bernie is not going to be president, alas. AOC has an excellent chance. Get ready for the chorus of people saying she's too progressive, or too New York, or that she should wait her turn, like people said to Obama. If she's smart, and she clearly is, she'll ignore all of that and go for it. In my opinion, a moderate white male Democrat is not the answer.

Not that it matters, but I was pleased to see two of my favorite films, "Before Sunrise" and "The Grand Budapest Hotel," added to the National Film Registry. The latter is now officially the most recent film in the collection. Minor gripe: Stanley Kubrick has six films in the registry, but not "Barry Lyndon"?
